Cops: Nazareth teen was selling drugs in church parking lot

A Nazareth teen is accused of selling drugs in the parking lot of a borough church.

Charged is Jarred Millhime, 18, of the 100 block of Progress Avenue.

An officer at 8:52 p.m. Aug. 12 spotted a suspicious parked vehicle with its engine running at Holy Family Church. The officer then found one male in the passenger seat and Millhime with another male in the back seat, court records indicate.

Police said a bag of marijuana was inside a glass jar between Millhime and the other male. The odor of marijuana also was present in the vehicle.

Both males told police they met to buy marijuana from Millhime and planned on splitting the cost. Millhime allegedly told police he "just started" selling marijuana that night and intended to sell an ounce of marijuana for $240.

An officer seized a backpack in Millhime's possession, which police said contained a large glass jar of marijuana, several small plastic bags, other small bags filled with marijuana and prescription painkiller medication, as well as nearly $300 in cash.

Court records do not indicate the other two males were charged.

Millhime is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Alicia Zito, who set bail at $50,000.

In lieu of bail, Millhime was taken to Northampton County Prison.
