It will reopen around 20 stores from that date to undertake the opening of 50 of its 80 stores in Ukraine in the coming months

Inditex returns to Ukraine after two years of closure as a result of the war with a plan to gradually reopen its stores and online as of April 1, which will be modulated depending on market circumstances, as confirmed to Europa Press in company sources.
In this way, the group founded by Amancio Ortega, which kept its stores and online in Ukraine temporarily closed since February 24, 2022, will reopen from April 1 around 20 stores of its seven brands (three from Zara ) in the Kiev area, with plans to next open stores in Lviv. This has already been communicated to the corresponding shopping centers.
Taking into account the current circumstances, the group could open around fifty stores of the 80 it has in the country in the coming months, according to the Financial Times.
Likewise, the group's seven brands will resume the distribution of online orders in the country at the same time as they reopen their first physical stores. The conditions of customer service will be announced at that time on the brands' online platforms.
The same sources have assured that the group's priority "continues to be the safety of its employees and customers." Since February 2022, the company has been implementing a special plan to support its employees there and their families and, since then, it has guaranteed the employment and salaries of its entire workforce in the country (compatible with other income they may have due to own account or someone else's).
The company works to guarantee quality standards in the commercial experience it offers in all the markets in which it is present. To achieve this, among other initiatives, the reconditioning of the establishments has already begun and part of the store staff will participate over the next month in different training programs at the Inditex subsidiary in Poland.
The main fashion brands - both local and international - have been operating in the country for months. h
In February 2022, Inditex donated 3 million euros to support the population and, especially, refugees, through UNHCR. It also contributes with the local donation of clothing and also offers jobs in its subsidiary in Poland to people displaced from Ukraine.
