A Jersey City man who had been missing five days was found safe, but disoriented, in a parking lot in Virginia.

Curtis Prioleau, 34, was found last night at about 11 p.m. on the east side of Richmond by a woman who read online that he had been reported missing from the other side of the city. The Jersey Journal reported on Prioleau yesterday morning on NJ.com.

"He couldn't remember anything," said Prioleau's sister, Tiara Riley, who had contacted every media outlet in the Richmond area, as well as The Jersey Journal, to help locate her brother. "He sounded really tired. He could only remember that his name is Curtis; and he couldn't remember any of his family's (phone) numbers."

Riley said the woman who found him called the police tip line and police then contacted Prioleau's family.

"We don't know what happened," Riley said, noting that Prioleau's Jeep Grand Cherokee was nearby when he was found. Prioleau is now with his aunt at Betebet her Newport News home.

Prioleau had gone out to breakfast with a friend on Jan. 26 and then dropped off the friend at her job in Richmond, Riley said. Prioleau had then planned to go to Newport News, but he never made it. He left his wallet and cell phone at the friend's house, but never returned to get them.

Riley said she believes her brother was sleeping in the the SUV, but she doesn't have any definitive answers about what occurred during those five days. She credits The Jersey Journal for getting the word out so Prioleau could be found.
