Junts will take advantage of the first Government control session in Congress of this legislature, which will take place next Wednesday, to ask the Executive how it plans to guarantee the return of the headquarters of the companies that left Catalonia during the 2017 independence process.

Specifically, the deputy for Tarragona de Junts, Josep Maria Cruset, has registered a question for the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, to explain what guarantees he plans to promote to favor the return of these companies to that community.

"How does the Spanish Government intend to guarantee the return of the headquarters of the companies that were forced to leave Catalonia in October 2017?" reads the text of the question that Cruset has registered, according to the list of issues raised by the groups. for that session, to which Europa Press has had access.

PSOE and Junts committed in their investiture agreement to discuss the return of Catalan companies during the legislature. Specifically, the two groups agreed to study the "essential elements of a plan to facilitate and promote the return to Catalonia of the headquarters of companies that changed their location to other territories in recent years."

The companies that left chose other communities such as Comunidad Valenciana, Madrid or Aragón as their new headquarters. Among the flight of companies were names listed on the Ibex 35, as was the case of Banco Sabadell to Alicante, CaixaBank to Valencia or Naturgy, Cellnex, Abertis or Colonial to Madrid.
