A 21-year-old man was killed in a Salem shooting late Sunday night, police said. Another man was injured. 

Jorge R. Miranda and another, unidentified man were shot when someone fired at a light-colored Jeep in the 1300 block of Lancaster Drive N.E., Salem police spokesman Lt. Dave Okada said. Witnesses told police that the shooter, who was on foot, and the Jeep both left the area after the shooting. 

While officers were investigating, a vehicle arrived at the Salem Health Emergency Room with the two injured men, Okada said. Miranda died at the hospital. 

The other man was treated for gunshot wounds, Okada said. His condition is not known. 

Police are investigating the shooting, Okada said.
