PATERSON -- Police are looking for a suspect who stabbed a 36-year-old during an attempted robbery, NorthJersey.com reports.

The incident took place on Sunday at about 10 p.m. in the 500 block of River Street, according to the report.

The victim was walking down the street when a stranger asked for his money. The report said he was stabbed when he turned away and suffered a non-life threatening injury.
