N.J. man jumps to his death from GWB, cops say

FORT LEE -- A New Jersey man jumped from the George Washington Bridge to his death Saturday morning, authorities said.

A 52-year-old man from Fort Lee leaped from the bridge at 8:40 a.m., said Joseph Pentangelo, spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department.

The man's body has been recovered, he said.

Pentangelo said he will have additional information later in the day.
