Pedestrian hospitalized after hit by vehicle in Fort Lee, cops say

FORT LEE -- A pedestrian was hit by a car in front of the McDonald's restaurant on Lemoine Avenue early Sunday, police confirmed. 

Little information on the incident was immediately available. 

Police said a man was hit by a vehicle just after 6 a.m. He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, but police did not know his condition.

Northbound traffic on Lemoine Avenue (Route 67) was closed for several hours just north of the Interstate 95 interchange for the investigation. It reopened just before 9 a.m. 

The incident remains under investigation.
