TOMS RIVER -- Police are investigating a suspicious fire that burned a shed behind a pizza shop Sunday night, officials said.

The fire caused minor damage to the shed, which is located behind Linda's Pizza in Hazelwood Plaza on Fischer Boulevard, Toms River police Officer Ralph Stocco said.

Stocco said the fire is considered suspicious and is under investigation.

No additional information was available Monday morning.

The fire is under investigation by the Toms River Police Department's Detective Unit, the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office's Arson Unit, the Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department's Crime Scene Unit. 

A manager at Linda's Pizza was not immediately available to comment on the fire.
