Police searching for minivan in crash that injured motorcyclist

ALLAMUCHY -- The New Jersey State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a a minivan involved in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a 37-year-old man Sunday on Interstate 80.

In a statement, State Police said Jason Hutchinson, of Hopatcong, was listed in critical condition at Morristown Memorial Hospital after he and his motorcycle were involved in a crash with another vehicle near milepost 21.5 in Allamuchy Township.

Troopers responding to the scene around 5:15 p.m. found Hutchinson and his Harley-Davidson, but no other vehicle, State Police said.

Authorities said further investigation has led detectives to believe the second vehicle was a silver minivan, and State Police have asked anyone with information about the crash to call Hope Station at 908-459-5098.
