Revolut raises 350 million with its paid accounts in Spain

MADRID, 12 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The neobank Revolut has exceeded 350 million euros raised in its Flexible Accounts in Spain, its product that offers remuneration in different currencies, as announced this Tuesday in a statement.

On the occasion of this milestone, the digital financial institution has launched a promotion through which customers can invite acquaintances to win up to 150 euros in rewards, while new referred users will obtain an annual return of up to 3.90% until the end of June 2024.

After the promotional period, the remuneration of the Flexible Account will vary depending on the plan the client has: up to 3.94% for investments in euros, up to 5.30% for investments in pounds and up to 5.43% for investments in dollars. Interest on the Flexible Account is paid daily and compounded monthly, and customers can top up and withdraw funds at any time.

The 350 million euros raised means that Spain is Revolut's main country with this product, ahead of 21 other countries in which this type of account has been launched.

Although it is a paid account, it is not a deposit. This type of account obtains this profitability by investing client resources in money market funds. The investment is made by the investment services subsidiary, Revolut Securities Europe UAB, together with the international manager Fidelity.
