MADRID, 20 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The last section of the Digital Kit, aimed at companies with less than three employees, will open this Thursday the period to request this aid of 2,000 euros for the acquisition of digital services for one year.

The call has 500 million euros of budgets and comes after the sections of between 10 and 49 employees and 3 to 9 employees, where 77,500 and more than 53,000 applications have been received, respectively.

In the section of between 10 and 49 employees, all the requests that have not required rectification have been resolved, while in the section of 3 and 9 employees, the first 5,600 grants have already begun to be granted. In total, more than 400 million euros have been awarded to companies, according to Red.es data to which Europa Press has had access.

The new call is aimed at the largest group of companies, with 2.8 million companies in this section, according to Yotramito's calculations.

The Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence, Carme Artigas, has highlighted, during her speech this week by the Budget Commission, that the program is a "historic success", in the face of criticism from Citizens and PP .

The Secretary of State has stressed that the rest of the countries of the European Union have contacted her department to inquire about the model proposed by the Government, which puts digitizing agents and SMEs in contact for the delivery of services.

Likewise, he highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration so that aid reaches SMEs and encourages them to request them.

The program allows companies to hire web page creation, cybersecurity, process management, electronic invoicing, marketplace and advanced Internet positioning services, among others, with more than 9,300 accredited digitizing agents.

Likewise, since the last call, the possibility of financing 'hardware' has been included for those projects that require, for example, the installation of sensors, as could be the case of an agricultural SME.

The digital Kit has an endowment of 3,067 million euros from Next Generation funds. The Government set itself the goal of digitizing one million SMEs.

In recent months, the Executive has opened the door to a second call to extend the Digital Kit or the launch of new programs for medium-sized companies with between 50 and 250 employees or for the contracting of more advanced services such as artificial intelligence.
