Sánchez Llibre (Foment) asks to eliminate Patrimonio in all the CCAA to avoid a "fiscal war"

BARCELONA, 7 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The president of the Catalan employers' association Foment del Treball, Josep Sánchez Llibre, has asked the Government to eliminate the Property Tax in all autonomous communities to avoid a "fiscal war" between them.

In an interview in 'El Periódico' published this Thursday and reported by Europa Press, the business leader defended that "it would be positive for the Government to anticipate the ruling" of the Constitutional Court (TC) - where the employers have filed an appeal - - and abolish this tax.

In this sense, he has assured that if the TC does not agree with them, they will take the challenge to the tax before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

Asked about the return to Catalonia of companies that changed their headquarters in 2017, he said that "reducing" the property tax would be a measure that would promote their return.

"If we had a fiscal policy like that of Madrid or Valencia, that makes it more attractive for companies and their managers to return," he added.
