Trees fell and the police had to rescue a woman and her daughter who were trapped in a residence with a collapsed roof.

"The police officer had to use a neighbor's boat to access the chalet and evacuate its residents," said officer Christel Lanthier.

The amount of damage amounted to several thousand dollars according to the first findings.

The storm caused damage to several residences in the area as well as several road obstructions by trees, poles and fallen Hydro-Québec wires.

The MRC des Collines reported no injuries among the affected citizens.
