Técnicas Reunidas earns 38.5 million in the first semester compared to losses a year earlier

MADRID, 28 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Técnicas Reunidas registered a net profit of 38.5 million euros in the first half of 2023, compared to the 'red numbers' of 67.9 million euros that it obtained in the same period of the previous year, as reported this Friday by the Spanish engineering company to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

Total sales of Técnicas Reunidas reached 2,172 million euros up to June, representing an increase of 31% compared to the previous year, when they stood at 1,654 million euros after being affected by a highly volatile scenario.

Specifically, the company has explained that it has progressively returned to quarterly sales figures above 1,000 million euros and expects that level prior to the pandemic to be maintained in the coming quarters.

The accumulated backlog of Técnicas Reunidas to date, which includes all the awards obtained since the beginning of 2023, reached 9,228 million euros in the first half of the year, 14.6% less, while the new orders this year reached 1,770 million euros.

Técnicas Reunidas has updated its guide for 2023 and its current forecast is set to register sales of 4,000 million euros, awards that exceed 5,000 million euros and a net operating profit margin (Ebit) of 4%.
