Two men are in a Pittsburgh hospital this morning recovering from gunshot wounds they received Wednesday inside a private club in downtown New Kensington.

Police Detective Sgt. Jim Horwatt said the shooting happened just before 11 p.m. inside the Elks Lodge.

The club is normally busy at that time of night.

New Kensington and Westmoreland County detectives continue to investigate this morning.

It's unclear how seriously injured the men are or a possible motive.

On Saturday a man was wounded by gunfire in a parking area near the Elks.

Police were searching this morning for clues inside the club and possible evidence at several locations along Third and Fourth avenues.

It's unclear if the men were the intended victims or if the shooting was done in retribution for Saturday's wounding of a New Kensington man.
