Visteon teams up with AWS with a platform to facilitate in-vehicle connectivity

MADRID, 7 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Automotive component maker Visteon has announced an agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to distribute its vehicle connectivity support by leveraging the reach of Amazon's cloud computing system, the two companies have reported.

Visteon's automotive connectivity system, AllGo, is a platform that offers facilities for manufacturers and developers of vehicle applications, as well as simplifying the user experience.

The software provides technology for mobility, navigation, parking, information and entertainment applications so that developers can introduce it into the cabin systems of vehicles.

Visteon support also allows manufacturers to customize the applications that the user wants to have in their vehicle and even enables payment management.

"We share Visteon's vision of creating a more connected, convenient, and secure in-vehicle experience," said Yasser Alsaied, Vice President, Internet of Things for AWS.

The AllGo system has native applications, while allowing the user to download the most popular mobility apps. In this way, developers are encouraged to highlight the added value of their platforms in the face of competition from phones and other devices that can be connected to the vehicle.

"Our collaboration with AWS will allow us to take advantage of their cloud, experience and technology to deliver the next generation of connectivity services," said Yeddanapudi Sivakumar, Director of Product Management at Visteon.
