New watches added to 2100 line with iconic octagonal bezel

TOKYO, Jan. 11, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Casio Computer Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of new shock-resistant G-SHOCK watches. The three new GMA-P2100 compact watches bring vibrant monochrome colors to the 2100 line, popular for its iconic octagonal bezel.

In recent years, Casio has been downsizing the popular G-SHOCK watches to create a broader line of compact models for all genders.

The new GMA-P2100 watches feature the octagonal bezel and minimalist dial design that the 2100 line is known for, but in vibrant colors and a smaller, shock-resistant profile that's easy to wear.

The case of the new watches is 2.7 mm narrower, making it 94% smaller than that of conventional GMA-S2100 models. The length of the strap has also been shortened by about 10mm to make it easier to wear for those with smaller wrists. The watches come in vibrant turquoise blue, bright pink and white monochromatic color combinations. Light and dark shades of the same color are used for different components, including the dial, indices and hands, to give the stylized dial a look that has depth and dimension and is easy to read. The bezel and strap are made from bio-based resin, a material that is expected to help reduce environmental impact.

Casio will continue to enhance its line of gender-neutral G-SHOCK watches, ensuring easy wearability for the increasingly diversified G-SHOCK fan base.
