Leviton's CN2030 Sustainability Program Continues to Drive Progress

BOTHELL, Wash., Dec. 13, 2023/PRNewswire/ -- Leviton Network Solutions today announced that it now provides Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) on global end-to-end copper systems. Leviton EPDs are verified by UL and are viewable in UL's SPOT product database. The EPD is a registered document that communicates a standard set of comprehensive information on the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle. EPDs play a critical role in contributing to the many green building certification programs available today.

To create an EPD, a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is first conducted by an independent organization specializing in LCA reporting. LCA is a detailed assessment of the product throughout its entire life cycle, from initial raw materials to final disposal or reuse. Based on the LCA, an EPD reports the areas of environmental impact of a product, including important data on factors that affect the land, our atmosphere and aquatic systems.
