Madrid, August 21, 2023.- The LEGO Group presents the LEGO* Ideas Collection of Insects, originally created by LEGO fan José María Pérez Suero (@hackiroku24). And to celebrate the launch, the LEGO Group has created Green Noise, a new nature-inspired ASMR playlist featuring clicks and LEGO sounds reimagined as each insect's unique sounds using Foley techniques for post-production.
Created in collaboration with Emmy-nominated and award-winning artist Sanaa Kelley, an expert in creating sound effects from everyday objects, Sanaa has recreated the unique sounds of each insect in nature from the flapping clicks of bricks. LEGO and the packaging of the new set, along with various Foley techniques. The playlist is inspired by the three extraordinary insects in the new set: the blue morpho butterfly, the Hercules beetle, and the Chinese mantis.
The new LEGO Ideas The Insect Collection, the 50th product on the fan-created platform, includes each insect in a separate display based on aspects of its natural habitat. The Blue Morpho butterfly is perched on a branch in the South American Amazon rainforest. Next, he moves on to Central America and builds the world's longest beetle, the male Hercules beetle, sitting on a decaying log. Finally, perched on a thin branch in an Asian forest, a Chinese mantis prays over a small seven-spotted ladybug hidden among brick flowers.
A fan full of ideas and creativity
José María is 31 years old and is from Seville. He studied Physics and Fine Arts, but one day he decided to drop everything and dedicate himself 100% to the LEGO world and to social networks, where he exhibits his creations. And, it is that, since he discovered the LEGO universe at the age of eight, he has not stopped devising and thinking about bricks and possible constructions. This is how his passion for the LEGO brand was born, a passion that he also feels for nature.

And to celebrate this launch, José María will be signing the sets of the new line and meeting his fans at the LEGO Store Barcelona (Passeig de Gràcia 9), on Saturday, September 9. The creator will be there between 10:00 and 12:00. In addition, he will also be at the LEGO Store in Madrid (CC Parquesur) on September 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and at the LEGO Store in Seville (CC Lagoh) on September 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. .
