LONDON, April 5, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Co-organized by the Austrian Institute for Sustainable Technologies, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the Austrian Federal Ministry, the International Sustainable Energy Conference (ISEC 2024), a forum for energy research, business and policy, will be held for the third time on April 10 in Graz, Austria, with the support of BE OPEN.
The goal of ISEC 2024 is how we can achieve energy sovereignty within a time horizon dictated by climate change and defined by policy. Global solutions such as the transformation of our economic system towards a sustainable circular economy, the total elimination of fossil fuels, the implementation of sector coupling and energy storage systems, as well as the intelligent electrification of energy supply, will be the focus of attention of presentations and debates.
The conference program consists of guest speakers from industry, science and politics, as well as lectures and poster presentations by researchers from all continents. ISEC 2024 aims to inspire innovative ideas for the transformation of heat into renewable energy systems and resource efficiency and to facilitate a comprehensive exchange between research, industry and energy policy.
In turn, BE OPEN will use its participation in the conference to promote the results and ambition of the foundation's five-year SDG-themed student competition program which has so far covered SDG 12, SDG 11, SDG 2, SDG 7 and SDG 13. The program aims to encourage the creation of innovative solutions by younger creatives, for a more prosperous and sustainable future.
