In a privileged enclave such as the renovated Gaviria Palace, Pilgrim has brought together numerous well-known faces to reward the commitment, good work and loyalty of all the ambassadors, establishments and firms that, with their effort and experience, build the Camino de Santiago.Among the winners who gathered at the central Madrid palace to collect their award are Antonio Catalán, president of AC Hoteles (Estrella del Camino Award); the businessman and influencer Enrique Solís (Influence Award); the singer Roi Méndez (Influence Award); or Judge Reyes Martel (Social Action Award), among others. Special mention was received by Julia Baird, International Prize winner of this 2nd edition of the Pilgrim Awards and sister of the English musician John Lennon. Baird has also been in charge of composing the new anthem of the English Camino de Santiago. The song was performed by the Galician singer Carolina Rubirosa during the gala, giving attendees one of the most special moments of the evening. The Gaviria Palace, an iconic symbol of the most traditional Madrid, was without a doubt the perfect setting for this celebration. The building, built between 1846 and 1847, became a meeting and celebration place for the Madrid gentry of the time. After a comprehensive renovation in which splendor has been restored, not only to the place, but also to its enormous artistic heritage, the Gaviria Palace reopens its doors. And the Pilgrim Awards have been the event that has marked the beginning of this new stage for the palace, which also houses part of the Quirós Collection.
