Valladolid, April 1, 2024.- Coinciding with World Autism Awareness Day, which is celebrated on April 2, Vallsur joins the actions and initiatives to make Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) visible, with measures to promote social inclusion and the active participation of people in day-to-day activities.

Throughout the week, the Valladolid shopping center will be illuminated in blue, which has become a symbol of Autism, as a sign of support and solidarity for people with ASD and their families. In addition, Vallsur incorporates as a novelty into its services the loan of anti-noise helmets, designed to cancel the sound produced outside and ensure hearing protection, for all those who request it at the center's reception.

Since it was implemented in 2022 and as part of its commitment to society, Vallsur continues to establish 'The quiet hour' every Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m., reducing the sound and light intensity in the shopping center, as a measure to facilitate accessibility for people with autism. Also, during the events and actions that are carried out, they are given priority without having to wait in lines.

In this sense, Vallsur also offers advice at the reception point to learn about the different areas of the shopping center and to be able to plan the visit in advance to enjoy the experience. That is why the staff has been trained to be able to offer appropriate care for each occasion, and they also provide identification cards so that people with autism who need it are identified and workers know that they may need additional support during their visit.
