A report about President Donald Trump's supposed "obsession with optics, style and TV glam" has fanned a conflagration of tweets.
Sparked by commentary from a source on how Trump reportedly likes women to dress, the hashtag #DressLikeAWoman took Twitter by storm.
The source, who worked on the Trump campaign, told Axios that Trump, in addition to preferring wide, traditional neckties on men, wants the women who work for him "to dress like women."
"Even if you're in jeans, you need to look neat and orderly," the source said. The report also said women who worked in field offices for the Trump campaign "felt pressure to wear dresses to impress Trump."
In response, women in New Jersey and beyond tweeted images of how they dress -- as doctors, priests, soldiers, race car drivers and protesters. They shared photos of women who are and were Supreme Court justices, abolitionists, astronauts, pilots and government officials, in addition to women of TV and film -- even the Statue of Liberty, in her flowing robes -- all to show the many ways women can be "dressed."
