The health authorities in spain have expressed Monday their grave concern at the evolution of the epidemic in a part of Catalonia, isolated from the rest of the country and submitted to restriction measures since Saturday.

"These last days, and especially during this week-end, we recorded the largest number of cases in nearly a month," said the epidemiologist-in-chief of the Health ministry, Fernando Simon, at a press conference.
