A fire at a White Oak townhouse killed two people Tuesday afternoon, fire officials said.

Crews responded to an unit on Lincoln Way shortly before 1 p.m., according to Rainbow Volunteer Fire Company Chief Brandon Schmidt.

Schmidt said as crews began attacking the flames, they found two people dead inside the unit.

He said he had no information on the identities or ages of the victims or the cause of the fire.

The fire marshal was still on scene at 3 p.m.
