CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A Cleveland man is accused of fatally shooting a 19-year-old man in a home in the city's Clark-Fulton neighborhood.

Christopher Cooper, 18, is charged with murder in the Jan. 27 killing of Cavante Mathews, according to court records.

Cooper was arrested Friday, and he remains in custody after a judge set his bond at $100,000 during his initial appearance Monday in Cleveland Municipal Court.

The shooting happened in Mathews' home on West 38th Street and Sackett Avenue, near Fulton Road. Mathews had recently moved into the home, police said.

Cooper pointed a gun at Mathews and the gun fired, according to court records. Mathews was found dead by another resident.
