Man accused of dismembering wife lived corpse for a week: cops

The man charged with murdering and dismembering his wife at their Brooklyn home lived with her corpse for nearly a week before tossing her body parts into a dumpster, authorities said.

Phillip Martin, 42, allegedly concealed the body of his wife Diana Rodriguez-Martin, 43, after beating her to death during an argument on Feb. 12.

Martin then kept her body inside their Linden Boulevard apartment in Flatbush before using a saw and a hammer to dismember her body six days later, officials said.

He then thew the remains in a dumpster near Bedford Avenue and Martenese Street. Police have not yet located the remains,

Rodriguez-Martin had been reported missing on Monday after her family failed to reach for several weeks.

While questioning her husband, police learned Martin had been using her credit cards during her disappearance, sources said.

He later confessed to the grisly slaying, telling investigators he punched his wife to death before chopping her up and disposing of her body, cops said.

Martin was charged with murder and concealment of a corpse.
