Ogrefest at The Brew Kettle is under way

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Brew Kettle's annual Ogrefest is under way, offering a chance for beer lovers who enjoy big styles like barley wines and imperials.

In all, the brewery will have 39 beers on draft.

Ogrefest runs until Sunday, Feb. 19, at 8377 Pearl Road, Strongsville, and also takes place Friday, Feb. 17, through Sunday, Feb. 26, at 300 Church St., Amherst.

The beers come in a variety of sizes - 8.5 ounces, 12 ounces, pints and more - based on the specific beer. Several hit double digits when it comes to alcohol percentage. And with last year's lifting of the 12 percent alcohol limit, some of the beers top 17 percent, including The Beast Grand Cru from Avery Brewing Co. in Boulder, Colorado.

In keeping with the theme of big beers, The Brew Kettle is touting the annual fest with the slogan "It's gonna be huuuge" and features a Donald Trump-like ogre holding a sign that says "Making beer great since 1995."
