Police investigating shootings in North, Southwest Baltimore overnight

Baltimore police are investigating two shootings between Thursday night and early Friday morning, the first in Southwest Baltimore and the second in North Baltimore, they said.

About 10:10 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to the 1800 block of Bloomingdale Road and found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, police said.

Police said a preliminary investigation determined the man was seated in a vehicle in the 2000 block of Denison Street, near the Walbrook Junction shopping center, when he was shot. The man then walked to Bloomingdale Road, where police were called, they said.

The man, who was taken to a local hospital, was not cooperating with police, they said.

About 5:27 a.m. Friday, officers were called to the 400 block of E. 25th Street in the city's Harwood neighborhood and found a 46-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the back of the head, police said.

The man was transported to a local hospital, police said.

Anyone with information in either of the shootings is asked to call citywide shooting detectives at 410-396-2221 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCK-UP.
