Police respond to feuding spouses at Subway: Avon Police Blotter

AVON --- Disturbance, Chester Road: A Subway employee called police at 6:58 p.m. Jan. 23 to report seeing an "elderly white female" push the elderly man she was with out of his chair, then slap him. The couple was found walking to their call when police arrived. The man showed no physical signs of injury. He told police he and the woman have been married for 38 years, were arguing over medication and they were "both ok." The woman was interviewed separately and told officers the same thing.

Lost dog, Kensington Avenue: A postal worker called police at 2:19 p.m. Jan. 23 when he recognized a dog from the neighborhood he works in wandering with no collar. The dog was eventually returned to its owner.

Alarm, Center Road: Police responded to an alarm at Miller Nature Preserve at 10:34 p.m. Jan. 23. An employee arrived with a key and checked the building with police. No signs of criminal activity were found.
