Possible high temperature record today, lots of rain: Cleveland weather forecast Tuesday, Feb. 7

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland could today tie, or even surpass, the 60-degree high temperature record set back in 1925. If you're spending anytime outdoors today, make sure to grab that rain coat, because rain showers, with the possibility of thunderstorms, will dominate Northeast Ohio weather all day. You may want to skip the umbrella, because winds up to 20 mph are expected.

The How:

The combination of a passing warm front and a low-pressure system will spark widespread thunderstorms throughout most of the day. With a warm front, and strong, southerly flow dragging in moist, even warmer air from the south, this is why Northeast Ohio could see possible record-breaking temperatures.
