CLEVELAND, Ohio – Berea-Midpark recorded three wins including one against Magnifcat to climb ahead in the girls basketball cleveland.com Top 25 this week.

In the same week, a handful of ranked teams dropped a pair of games each such as Mentor, Magnifcat and Westlake.

Closing: Berea-Midpark moves up three spots after three wins last week against Magnificat, and conference opponents Midview and Amherst. The move pushes down Magnificat and Mentor after their share of losses.

In other notable moves, Brush remains at No. 10 despite two losses in the past week to Maple Heights and Western Reserve Conference opponent Eastlake North.

Maple Heights, who also beat Eastlake North and strung together some key wins in late January, jumps off the bubble to the No. 25 spot. As for Eastlake North, the Rangers still trail Brush in the conference standings and gave up a game to Chardon last week.

Hathaway Brown jumped ahead of Wadsworth after erasing the Grizzlies’ nine-point lead on Saturday and Revere drops a spot after a 47-28 road loss to non-ranked Nordonia.

Euclid and Perry join the rankings after the fall of Westlake, Shaker Heights, and Strongsville. The Euclid Panthers defeated Medina and (44-36) and Mentor (41-40) to climb ahead of Strongsville and Shaker Heights in the conference rankings.

Last week ended with Westlake dropping its fifth straight game followed by Strongsville with its third and second for Shaker Heights.
