A court has acquitted three animal rights activists from the accusation of house trespassing in a breeding establishment. They had documented maladministration in pig breeding.

The Regional Court of Appeal (Naumburg) in Saxony-Anhalt has confirmed acquittals for several animal rights activists from accusation of house trespassing, which invaded a breeding establishment for documentation of maladministration. According to a communication, Court of Appeal rejected review of Public Prosecutor's office and followed subdivisions. In present case, welfare of pet is much higher than that of injured House, it was stated in explanatory memorandum. The acquittals have a legal force.

In year 2013, three accused members of an animal welfare organization had invaded a farm in two summer nights, in which y suspected shortcomings, among or things, in keeping of pigs. They climbed over fencing and reached inside of stables through open doors.

There, y documented violations of Posture regulations. The video material was later handed over to competent authorities and a complaint was filed against those responsible. In case of checks, various violations of rules were finally identified.

Already in first instance, District Court Haldensleben defendants free. A vocation of Public Prosecutor's Office n rejected Magdeburg District Court. It was true that case of House trespassing met, but violation of house law was justified from point of view of emergency.

This was followed by Court of Naumburg, which established a so-called justified emergency. The act was necessary to avert danger, because intervention of competent authorities would not have been expected without shooting of film after previous experience.
