The head of the Bremen Office for Migration and refugees should not have reviewed papers from the IS area. According to a report, there are other accusations.

The affair of former head of Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) in Bremen is expanding. In one case, woman is supposed to have waived a security-relevant document check according to mirror information. Months later, it turned out that papers were from territory of terrorist organization "Islamic State". The security authorities would have warned against such passports.

In anor case, former branch manager should have instructed an employee not to examine documents of an asylum seeker because it must go quickly. Later, documents would have turned out to be forged. In addition, a coaccused interpreter of refugees has to collect 500 euros.

The Public prosecutor's office Bremen did not want to comment on this. There are many speculations, but y could only be clarified at end of investigation, said a spokesman for authority.

The former branch manager is said to have had a positive effect on asylum applications from 2013 to 2016 in at least 1,200 cases, although conditions were not met. Among or things, she is accused of corruption. The decisions are now all checked.

Files should have been tampered with

The prosecutor's office is currently trying to figure out what kind of benefits y might have assumed – wher it was money, invitations to restaurants or hotel nights. There is a suspicion, but wher this is for an indictment is unclear.

In meantime, internal auditors of bamf came to conclusion that woman had massive breaches of applicable law and residence regulations, safety regulations and internal instructions. There is also a suspicion that she has tampered with files. The woman is said to have inserted signatures of employees under asylum notices, even though y came from her. Questions about accusations left her unanswered.

The interpreter is also one of six accused in meantime. The prosecutor suspects him to have 500 euros of refugees, plus 50 Euro commission for an intermediary. In hearings, he said that asylum seekers gave appropriate answers, even if y did not vote. He could not be reached for an opinion.
