SPRINGFIELD, Mass -- A Jersey City resident wanted in the shooting death of a man, who was killed at a Hoboken apartment complex, was arrested Friday morning in Massachusetts, federal authorities said.

The U.S Marshals Fugitive Task Force learned Keyshaun Wiggins, 18, was staying with a girlfriend and her family at an apartment in Bowdoin Street in Springfield, according to agency spokesman Dave Milne. Law enforcement officers found Wiggins asleep at the residence shortly after 9 a.m. Friday.

Wiggins, who was wanted on charges of murder, armed robbery, burglary, and weapons offenses, did not resist or try to flee from arresting officers, authorities said. He will first appear in a Massachusetts court to answer a charge of being a fugitive from justice before being extradited to Hudson County.

Prosecutors accused Wiggins in the Jan. 24 fatal shooting of Adrian Rivera, who was gunned down at his family apartment at the Andrew Jackson Gardens public housing complex in Hoboken. The killing allegedly stemmed from a botched robbery.

Investigators found more than $13,000 and three pounds of marijuana in Rivera's apartment after the killing, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said at a community meeting.

Two other Jersey City residents, Khalif Geiger, 20, and a juvenile, were already charged in the slaying.
