VOORHEES TWP. -- The woman wanted in connection with a shooting at The Vista apartment complex Friday remains at large and police are asking for the public's assistance with tracking her down.

Michelle Walls, 25, of Camden, allegedly shot the unidentified victim of the domestic incident three times in the upper torso with a revolver, Voorhees police said Monday, adding that the weapon had been concealed in her handbag and she allegedly left it at the scene.

According to previous reports, the gunfire came after a verbal argument and physical fight. The male victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital, in Camden, where he was listed in stable condition.

At the apartment building Monday, a woman who identified herself as the mother of the victim said that she called police after Walls, her son's his ex-girlfriend, shot him.

Another woman at the apartment who did not identify herself said the shooting happened in front of her small children. She said the victim is still in the intensive care unit but is "pulling through." They declined to speak further with a reporter Monday.

Voorhees takes over fire department

Walls fled the scene of the shooting along the 100 block of Kirkbride Road. She was last seen wearing a grey jacket, blue jeans, black boots and carrying a black-colored handbag. She stands approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall, has brown hair and brown eyes.

Walls is wanted for attempted homicide, aggravated assault, possession of firearm and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
