Ironic, isn't it, that President Trump is roundly criticized when he speaks the truth about the United States: "You think our country is so innocent?... There are a lot of killers. We have a lot of killers." Yes, the United States has killed a lot of people; good guys, bad guys, innocent bystanders, women and children, one could go on.

We are the only nation to actually use nuclear weapons against populated cities. We are no better, and no worse perhaps, than other nations who pursue their national interests, and use force to defend and protect those interests. Problem is, most of us don't want to face this reality, and so we readily accept "alternative facts" that match up with our beliefs. The truth is often complicated and inconvenient, and maybe we can't handle the truth.
