Two words for people telling Tom Brady to go out on top: Shut up

Are you one of those people telling Tom Brady to retire right now?

After that magical, amazing Super Bowl comeback?

After the greatest comeback of all-time?

If you are, then you need to shut up. Right here, right now. Just shut up. Shut. Up.

Why would Brady leave after that game? He’s having too much fun. He’s making too much history.

Why would you want him to leave? Why would you want a great entertainer to leave the stage when he can still entertain?

Don’t tell me about wanting him to retire so the Bears have a chance to win the Super Bowl that Brady and the Patriots have hogged this century. If you’re connecting those dots, then you need to be drug-tested.

Look, it’s Brady’s legacy, not yours, and his legacy already is better than anyone else’s in Super Bowl history.

I mean, did playing for the Wizards diminish Michael Jordan’s legacy? Did he have to give back any of those six rings? Did he lose his spot as the best player ever?

Tom Brady, Patriots win Super Bowl LI with record-setting comeback against Falcons

Or how about this: Did playing for the Blues and Rangers diminish Wayne Gretzky’s legacy? Did he lose any of his Stanley Cups? Did he lose any of the records he holds, including the record for holding the most records?

Seriously, people, going out on top simply because a player can go out on top is thumbsucker stuff. Sugary pap. Diabetes-inducing thinking.

Brady represents excellence, give or take some cheating, and excellence should be appreciated and welcomed.

Why would you want to short yourself another episode of Brady excellence that might compare to or even exceed what you just saw against the Falcons.

Sure, the Falcons choked a 25-point second-half lead, but the Patriots still had to make plays. They did. Brady did. Did he ever.

You’re going to talk about the Patriots’ comeback and Brady’s magic for years. But who says he’s out of miracles? Who says he has shown us everything?

Just shut up and watch, OK?

Asked about reveling in his fifth Super Bowl championship as Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick said, “As great as today is, in all honesty, we’re five weeks behind in the 2017 season.’’ And how many light years ahead of the Bears?

By beating the Kings without Jimmy Butler for their second win on this trip, the Bulls are playing with house money in the next three games. Sad, but true.

Dwyane Wade can look so Dwyane Wade at times — the Wade who always did to the Bulls what he just did for them. I like that better than the Wade who can't back up the talk and the attitude.

Truth is, the Bulls should finish at least .500 because they still get the Suns, the worst team in the West. Raise your hand if you think they should never come back to Chicago.

Every Bulls starter finished with at least a plus-7 in their near-loss to the Kings on Monday night and every Bulls sub finished with a minus. That’s some “Bench Mob."

Rajon Rondo was a minus-21 in 20 minutes, meaning the Kings outscored the Bulls by more than a point a minute when Rondo was on the court. Some guys seemed motivated to show former teams they made the wrong decision, and then there’s Rondo.

With a hold on seventh place in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls currently are looking at either playing the Celtics or trading Butler to them.

If the Bulls in fact aren’t trying to tank, then someone really ought to alert Nikola Mirotic.

From Twitter follower Dan Schramer: “Febreze spent $5 million to deal with the rankest of bathroom odors. Can they make one that can removes Bulls & Bears mgmt?"
