Bangor man, 21, charged with sexually assaulting 2 boys

A Bangor man is facing sexual assault charges pertaining to juveniles under 13 years old.

Charged is 21-year-old Thomas Zeiber, of the 100 block of Murray Street.

Bangor police on Dec. 16 interviewed two male victims who told police were both sexually assaulted by Zeiber in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The alleged sex assaults took place at a Bangor home, according to court records. Zeiber was familiar to both victims.

One juvenile said he was sexually assaulted multiple times while the other said he was forced to watch or be a part of sex acts at least 15 times with Zeiber, records say.

Zeiber allegedly played "truth or dare" with the victims and made them take off their clothes as "dares," police said.

The juveniles told police they were forced to perform sex acts on Zeiber and each other. Zeiber allegedly also performed sex acts on the juveniles and attempted to have sex with one of the juveniles on multiple occasions.

Zeiber forced one of the juveniles on at least one occasion to attempt sex with the other juvenile, police said.

Zeiber on Jan. 10 was interviewed by police and allegedly admitted to playing the game and forcing sex acts between himself and the juveniles. He denied attempting sex with the juveniles and called the attempt a "joke," according to court records.

Thief who forged hundreds in checks is identified, cops say

Zeiber provided police with a written statement allegedly admitting to sexually assaulting the juveniles each at least 10 times.

Zeiber is charged with three counts of rape, fours counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, two counts of child endangerment, two counts of corruption of minors and four counts of indecent assault. He was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Alicia Zito, who set bail at $200,000.

In lieu of bail, Zeiber was taken to Northampton County Prison, where he remained Thursday.
