NORTH HILLS >> A car burst into flames Monday after crashing into the center divider on the 405 Freeway in North Hills.

It happened at 1:21 a.m. on the northbound 405 Freeway just north of Nordhoff Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The white Honda became fully involved with flames after crashing into the center divider, according to the CHP.

The man driving the car got out safely.
