Club donates funds to help buy police ballistic vests

The Pen Argyl Woman's Club donated $1,000 to the Slate Belt Regional Police for the purchase of ballistic vests. The donation was made by Anna Bet, club president.

The General Federation of Women's Club in every state and more than a dozen countries work locally to support the arts, preserve natural resources, advance education, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage civic involvement and work toward world peace and understanding.  

GFWC remains one of the largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational, women's volunteer service organization.  

The Woman's Club of Pen Argyl meets at St John's Lutheran Church on Westbrook Avenue in Pen Argyl every first Monday of the month at 7 p.m.
