SAN ANTONIO — Severe storms battered Bexar County Sunday night, but the weather appears to be offering a “welcome break” with bright and sunny skies for the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service.

NWS meteorologist Aaron Treadway said it will be a “quiet week,” with no rain and bright and sunny skies. This weather pattern will likely last from Tuesday through Saturday with a small chance for rain Sunday.

As for temperatures, the highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s, with some lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s, Treadway said.

San Antonio received .63 inches of rain Monday morning. The city has received 3.61 inches of rain this month, according to NWS climate reports.
