three-quarters (75%) of pensioners residing in France were at the end of 2016 to a total pension of less than about 2000 euros per month, according to a study of the statistical service of the social ministries (Drees) released on Tuesday. About 16.1 million people receiving a retirement pension of the "direct right" of at least one of the French regime, 14.9 million were living in France.

These last have received an average pension of 1626 euros gross (1517 euros net), an amount that includes the possible survivors ' pensions paid to widows and widowers, according to the study. Among these seniors, three out of four "have a pension total gross of less than 2067, or € 1913 € net".

Other teaching, the "10% of retirees with pensions, the most high" receive more than a total of 2776 euros gross, "while 10% of the pension the lower receive less than 568 euros gross, i.e. five times less".
