Málaga, Madrid and Seville have been chosen as the most welcoming cities in Spain in Booking.com's 2024 Traveler Review Awards that took place in the city of Gijón, which also celebrated that Asturias has been selected among the ten most welcoming regions in the world. cozy.

The city of Gijón has hosted the Booking.com Traveler Review Awards 2024 awards ceremony. In this edition, Asturias is positioned as the ninth most welcoming region in the world, only surpassed by Perthshire (Scotland), Penghu (Taiwan), Boyacá (Colombia), Trentino (Italy), Los Lagos (Chile), Erongo (Namibia), Otago (New Zealand) and Lapland (Finland).

This award not only praises the region as a whole, but also highlights the hospitality and charm of some of its most picturesque municipalities.

According to Booking.com's Traveler Review Awards, Ribadesella, Cangas de Onís, Biescas, Luanco and Oviedo stand out as the councils with the greatest number of cozy accommodations, "located in environments ranging from the rugged coast to mountainous landscapes of singular beauty" .

In addition to Asturias, Booking.com has recognized other Spanish regions for their warmth. Finally, the Hotel Rector in Salamanca has been selected by Booking as the most welcoming hotel in Spain and Via Avis in Santa Catalina de Somoza in León as the most welcoming tourist home in Spain.

In the national context, Spain has consolidated itself as one of the countries with the highest number of award-winning accommodations, occupying second position worldwide, only behind Italy and ahead of France.

As for the most welcoming cities in Spain, according to Booking.com's Traveler Review Awards, Malaga, Madrid and Seville stand out.
