Two Monroe County residents died Sunday in a motorcycle crash, Pennsylvania State Police report.

Christopher Shanaberger, 37, of Mount Pocono, was riding along a left-hand curve at 4:41 p.m. on Carlton Road in Paradise Township when he lost control of the bike, police said.

The motorcycle slid on its left side before hitting a tree then a telephone pole, police said.

The county coroner's office pronounced Shanaberger and his passenger, Angela M. Mistkowski, 33, of Barrett Township, dead at the scene, police said.

The Swiftwater barracks continues to investigate the crash, police said.

Police didn't saw what kind of motorcycle it was or if the victims were wearing helmets.
