Authorities recently released a sketch of the man wanted for pulling someone over Jan. 28 in South Whitehall Township. A second victim recognized him as the man who stopped her two days earlier in Lower Saucon Township, police there said in a news release Saturday.

The woman was stopped at 5:15 on North Mountain Drive at Broadhed Court, Lower Saucon police said. The phony officer said she had a brake light out, though the woman said she didn't.

"The female then stated if I have a brake light out then you have a headlight out," the release says. "The suspect looked back and said 'we're even' and returned to his vehicle and sped off."

The man is described as being in his early to mid-30s with a mustache and goatee, wearing a long-sleeve dark shirt with a badge on the left chest. His vehicle is a white, unmarked SUV with a red and blue emergency light on the dash and a Pennsylvania plate. The driver's side headlight was out.

Fugitives of the week Feb. 4, 2017

In South Whitehall, the first case reported, the stop occurred about 4:30 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 2900 block of Mauch Chunk Road.

The female driver who reported being stopped said the impersonator was in a black, unmarked vehicle with tinted windows, a chrome spotlight on the driver's side and red-and-blue emergency lights on the front dashboard, according to South Whitehall police.

Her description of the man was similar to the other case: A man in his early to mid-30s with brown hair, hazel eyes, acne scars and a mustache with goatee, wearing blue trousers and a long-sleeve blue shirt with a badge and patch on the sleeve.

Anyone with information on either instance is asked to call South Whitehall police at 610-398-0337 or Lower Saucon police at 610-317-6110.
