Atresmedia earns 74.8 million euros until September, 6.3% less

MADRID, 20 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Atresmedia recorded a net profit of 74.8 million euros in the first nine months of the year, a figure 6.3% lower than that of the same period in 2021, when it earned almost 80 million euros, the group reported this Thursday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

Atresmedia's net income reached 654.4 million euros between January and September, down 1.6% compared to the same period last year. This decrease was influenced, above all, by the fall in television advertising revenue, which fell by 4.1%, to 479.8 million euros.

The group's gross operating profit (Ebitda) stood at 116.6 million euros until September, compared to 120.3 million euros in 2021, which in relative terms implies a decrease of 3%.

Advertising spend increased by 1.2%. In the markets in which the Atresmedia group operates, television media decreased by 6.5%, while radio and digital media increased by 8.8% and 3%, respectively.

Atresmedia has highlighted that, "despite the uncertainty and low visibility in the market today", it plans to consolidate the operating margins obtained in 2021.

"We continue to consider reasonable an estimate of net financial debt at the end of the 2022 financial year of around 65 million euros, assuming the payment of the complementary dividend made last June and the foreseeable payment of an interim dividend for the current financial year," he underlines in your communication to the supervisor.
