FLORENCE -- A tip to police led to the arrest of a Willingboro man on charges he possessed child pornography on his cell phone, Florence police said.

Leo Schintz

Officers arrested Leo Schintz, 28, on Jan. 26, police said this week.

Schintz showed someone photos and videos on his phone, which caused the person to report it to the police department, police said.

Detectives contacted Schintz, who voluntarily handed over his phone.

Investigators from the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office's High Tech Crimes Unit searched the phone and found pictures of pre-pubescent boys and girls, police said.

Schintz was arrested and charged with possessing child pornography and taken to the Burlington County Jail. He has since been released, the prosecutor's office said.
