Circulation of long-distance trains in Atocha recovered after a breakdown was resolved

MADRID, 3 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The circulation of long-distance trains leaving and entering Madrid's Puerta de Atocha-Almudena Grandes station was restored early this Tuesday morning, after a breakdown that affected the electrification system was resolved.

Renfe sources have indicated to Europa Press that the fault was resolved around 7:40 a.m., so traffic will gradually return to normal.

Around two in the morning, Adif reported on social networks that the breakage of a pantograph - the system that connects trains to the catenary - was affecting all trains entering or leaving the Madrid station.
